Whether you are searching for a walking holiday or a walking challenge or just want to incorporate a few walks to explore the area whilst on holiday Sea Fern Cottage is in the perfect holiday cottage to meet all your needs.  These are our favourite easy walks from Sea Fern Holiday Cottage.

1.  EXPLORE THE AREA - It is always good to have a couple of walks that you can do without having to get in the car! This is our 2 mile, explore the area walk. From the back garden head through the allotment and pick up the foot path that takes you over the fields. Turn right onto the Cinder Path and pick up the foot path again that leads you all the way down to the beach. Head back through the town to make it circular.

2. CIRCULAR 3 MILE BEACH WALK TO BOGGLE HOLE - Head down Middlewood Lane past the Caravan park and over the footbridge at Mill Beck. follow the signs down to Boggle Hole.  Depending on the tide times you can walk to Robin Hood's Bay along the Cleveland Way or the beach. Head back through the town to make it circular. The Happy Hiker website provides a map and good instructions for a 4 mile loop that takes you a little further to Stoupe Beck, which is a good sandy spot for swimming.

3.  WHITBY TO FYLINGTHORPE - This 7 mile stretch of the Cleveland Way between Whitby and Fylingthorpe takes in some of the best of the North York Moors heritage coastline with a cliff-top path that looks out over the beautiful bays and beaches below. Take the bus to Whitby bus station, head over the swing bridge into the old town and climb the 199 steps to the abbey. Pick up the cleveland way there.

If you are a keen walker you can also experience 17 of the best walks in the North York Moors with Paul Beal's directory and we even get a mention in the Robin Hoods Bay 9 mile circular!
