About Us

Seafern Cottage is a detached property in the pretty village of Fylingthorpe, offering easy access to The Cleveland Way and The Cinder Track.  The beach and lower Robin Hoods Bay is less than a mile from our back door and is reached via a footpath through fields and woodland. The shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs in Robin Hood’s Bay are all within easy reach. We're rural, yet only a 15 minute drive of Whitby our nearest coastal town.  This beautiful three bedroom cottage sleeps 6 and was lovingly renovated during 2022. Seafern Cottage is little different to most holiday cottages in Robin Hood’s Bay, because the house has a lovely light and spacious feel and we have a garden for al fresco dining and star gazing! We’ve have free parking for 3 cars and it’s literally a five minute walk to an excellent pub, local shop and butchers. 

It's important to us that Seafern Cottage feels like home from home, because we stay there ourselves! Our house keepers Cleaner and Greener Limited take pride in their work and use eco friendly products and steam clean all the hard floors downstairs. You can read more about our sustainability policy here. We love the polish they leave on the towel radiators and chrome work in the bathrooms. We request that our guests keep dogs and shoes downstairs helping us to keep the carpets upstairs clean and fresh.

Guests who stayed with us in our first year, last year, gave us rave reviews and told us that they didn't want to leave.  We're delighted to see that they are booking to stay with us again in 2024 and are fast becoming our friends. Stay with us in 2024 and Ben and I will do our best to ensure you have the perfect stay in the perfect location for your next break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Yorkshire Coast is a special place for us, it allows us to spend time in nature and de-stress! We always leave with a renewed a sense of happiness and wellbeing and we know you will too.
