Cycling Holidays - Lake District
Join us for an unforgettable 3 day cycling adventure in the majestic Lake District. Fully guided rides for women, distances of 30 - 40 miles a day. Cycling has long been a popular way to explore the majestic lakes and mountains of Lakeland. On this guided cycling weekend you will visit charming villages and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. Our experienced guides from will lead you on stunning routes, tailored to your skill level. From our base near Coniston you'll explore popular destinations like Ambleside, Grasmere, Windermere and experience the more remote less-visited spots and untouched lakes. If you have never experienced the lakes by bike, join us on this adventure, because two wheels are the best way to explore!
What to Expect: Hosted Cycling Weekend in the LAKE DISTRICT | From £650 per person (WOMEN ONLY)
- 4 nights midweek or 3 night weekend stay at The Barn retreat near Coniston Water in shared twin rooms
- 3 days of guided cycling along side lakes and majestic mountains
- Vehicle back up and bike maintenance support
- Small groups of 6 to 8 to suit all abilities and distance preferencies
- Breakfasts and evening meals nutritiously planned to fuel you through the day (lunch is not included in the cost)
- Downtime with a lovely group of fellow outdoor-lovers
- Flexibility to replace any of the days cycling with a walk or a boat trip on Windermere
- Optional sauna and dip on our last day with La'al Sauna on the shores of the lake (£20 payable separately)
- Bring your road, hybrid or ebike or ask us about hiring one
- Arriving by train? We can collect you from Windermere railway station

The dates for 2026 are:
8th - 12th June, 2026 midweek £695 - (Mon - Fri) secure your accommodation with breakfasts and evening meals with £200 deposit and the balance of £495 will be due on the 1st May - extra date.
26th - 29th June, 2026 weekend £650 - (Fri - Mon) secure your accommodation with breakfasts and evening meals with £150 deposit and the balance of £500 will be due on the 1st May - limited places available.

For frequently asked questions please visit our blog. It is a condition of the trip that you able to cycle 25 miles. You must also be covered by a medical and personal accident insurance policy that includes cover for sports activities. It is advisable to also check the policy covers you for cancellation, for example if you are unable to join us due to illness. Please inform us of any health conditions that may affect your ability to participate and of any food allergies and special dietary requirements.
We try to keep our deposits low and usually around 20% of the total holiday cost. This is non-refundable, except in cases of cancellation or major change by Seafern Adventures. If the trip is not able to go ahead in 2026 due to reasons outside of our control, we will move the trip forward by one year to the same dates or as close as possible.
