  • I so enjoyed my recent trip to the Yorkshire Dales that I have booked again for next year - I can only reinforce all the comments already made. A ten out of ten experience in every aspect. Thanks to the team at Seafern.

  • Wholeheartedly agree with everything said so far about the recent retreat in Yorkshire. I love cycling to be outdoors, to see and stop to take in wonderful views, to chat with like-minded people en route and for the coffee stops. This holiday was the perfect break on all counts. All involved are so passionate in what they do and took such care in selecting the routes and stops each day, making us comfortable in the accommodation and feeding us healthy and delicious food. I took a chance on booking this holiday alone and felt comfortable right from the beginning with the rest of the group. I've booked for next year's Lakes retreat already and can't wait :)

  • A Truly Outstanding Cycling Holiday in Yorkshire

We’ve just returned from a fantastic cycling holiday in Yorkshire and couldn’t be more enthusiastic about the experience. Run by an exceptional team of women, this trip combined breathtaking routes, warm hospitality, and a genuine sense of community that made it one of the best getaways we’ve ever had.

From the outset, we were struck by the professionalism and warmth of the women who organised and hosted the retreat. Their passion for cycling—and for creating a welcoming, supportive environment—was clear in every aspect of the trip. Nothing was too much trouble, and their attention to detail ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

Each day, we explored carefully curated routes that showcased Yorkshire’s stunning countryside—rolling hills, quiet lanes, and picture-perfect villages. The rides struck a perfect balance between challenge and enjoyment, catering to a range of abilities and leaving us with a real sense of achievement (and plenty of great memories!).

One of the absolute highlights was the food—wholesome, home-cooked meals that were not only delicious but also thoughtfully prepared to refuel and comfort us after a day in the saddle. Mealtimes became something we looked forward to just as much as the rides.

What really made this holiday special, though, was the atmosphere. We met other women cyclists from different backgrounds, and the sense of camaraderie and support was truly uplifting. The women running the retreat created a space that felt safe, empowering, and fun—a rare and refreshing combination.

We can’t recommend this experience highly enough. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just looking for a memorable and meaningful escape with like-minded people, this Yorkshire cycling holiday is an absolute gem. Huge thanks to the amazing team who made it all happen—you’ve created something truly inspiring, and we’ll be talking about it (and hopefully returning!) for a long time to come.

With heartfelt thanks, Lorna, Rita, Chris and Karrie (The Cornish Belles)

  • Just come back from my second cycling weekend with the wonderful Jill and Sarah from Seafern. This time we were in the Yorkshire Dales exploring the wonderful countryside on two wheels. We stayed at Newton Grange which was perfect accomodation for cyclists and Jill and Sarah looked after us so well, with plenty of delicious meals, great routes and cafe stops.
Looking forward to my next cycling adventure with these two amazing ladies. ❤️❤️

  • I have just returned from the most fabulous three day guided cycling weekend which was organised by Sarah and Jill. We stayed at Newton Grange Farm which was very homely and comfortable. They make an excellent team who think of absolutely everything to make your stay perfect. I would highly recommend this accommodation and the scenery whilst cycling is breathtaking. Sarah and Jill are just amazing!

  • I booked with Seafern Adventures for a catered guided cycling weekend. The cottage was immaculate. The catering was brilliant - a varied menu of tasty options cooked to perfection and the weather even accommodated a barbecue evening. The host/chef Jill looked after us from breakfast to bedtime. Some hilly challenging rides but very enjoyable days on the bike and walks around the area. Loved the experience - top marks!

  • I've just come back from a Seafern Adventure, having spent an amazing long weekend there with a cycling group. It was nice and relaxing, especially sitting outside in the garden after a long cycle ride. There was everything you need and the accommodation was beautifully done and comfortable, too. The roads out of Robin Hoods Bay and Fylingthorpe are quiet enough to cycle up, and once you get to the top, the views are breathtaking.
Thank you Jill - I had the most wonderful time and will definitely be back. I managed to get myself a lovely Jessica Hogarth print to remind me of fab weekend!

  • This cycling weekend was at the Yorkshire coast, a superb location. We used quiet country lanes and the Cinder Path, which gives breathtaking views. The accommodation had been recently and thoughtfully refurbished and was perfect for cyclists. Jill is an excellent host. Highly recommended.
