JOIN US FOR A CLEVELAND WAY WALKING CHALLENGE IN 2024

Why not sign up to a walking challenge? Walking is good for your health and wellbeing.  It’s a great form of exercise and it can be good therapy if you pick a good listener as a walking buddy.  A challenge can often spur you on to get you walking more often and help you build up the miles.  If you don’t walk at all then a 10 mile walk is going to be enough of a challenge, but if you want a real challenge then this 22 mile challenge could to take you 3 months to build up fitness for and speaking from experience, often the training sessions are as enjoyable as the main event.

We’ve found this fantastic walking challenge for you to enjoy from Sea Fern Cottage on the Cleveland Way.

It's a 22 mile section of the 110mile Cleveland Way and you get to enjoy the company of fellow walkers, with a Large Outdoors guide taking care of navigation.  There's no pressure to raise money for charity on this challenge. Experience the Yorkshire Coast’s beautiful beaches, dramatic cliffs and characterful seaside towns - starting at Scarborough Castle and finishing at Whitby Abbey.  This challenge will leave you wanting to explore more of the Cleveland Way National Trail and hopefully it will give you the confidence to explore more of it self guided.  It is sure to leave you feeling elated having walked the equivalent ascent of summiting Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa).

Large Outdoors Castle to Abbey 22 mile Coastal challenge is just £59, but it's only available on the following 3 dates, so be sure to book your place early.

Saturday 13th April 2024

Saturday 1st June 2024

Saturday 28th September 2024

We currently have availability at Sea Fern Cottage over these dates, so you can build your holiday around the walking challenge and go home feeling accomplished and rejuvenated.
