Meditation for post excercise recovery
Make yourself a priority.
Sit comfortably, feet flat. Shoulders relaxed, tongue down from the roof of your mouth, jaw loose.
Hands loose, relax, and regulate your breathing, into a rhythm that suits you.
During the next few minutes, I would like you to focus on yourself and offer some personal TLC.
For you, for your own physical and emotional well-being.
You, as a person, have every right to stop, to pause for a while, and to be still.
And to feel calm, to sit down quietly and be aware of the good things that surround you.
To take your time and not to rush. To walk slowly. To feel the warmth of sunshine.
To feel blessed by what you have, and to do the things that you enjoy. The things that bring you joy, peace, and contentment.
To recognise that happiness cannot be travelled to, to be owned or earned. To be worn or consumed.
Happiness is the experience of living every moment with love, grace, gratitude, kindness, and humility.
To recognise, that yesterday is gone, and tomorrow is not yet here, to treasure this current moment.
Make the very most of it. It is about not worrying whether your glass is half full or half empty,
but about being grateful that you have a glass, and that there is something in it.
Meditation is not about controlling your thoughts. It is about learning not to let your thoughts control you.
So learn to be yourself. Accept yourself. Value yourself. Forgive yourself. Express yourself.
Trust yourself, empower yourself, and love yourself. Life is all about balance.
You don't always need to be getting stuff done.
Sometimes it's perfectly okay, and absolutely necessary to sit down and do nothing.
